Launching AccountingWEB Live Expo's brand-new Vendor Steering Group
Chaired by Jake Smith, Head of Branded Content for AccountingWEB, the Vendor Steering Group (VSG) has been created to ensure we keep the customer audiences of our Expo exhibitors front of mind over the coming months, as we shape our 2022 conference programme.
The Vendor Steering Group is comprised from those vendors exhibiting at AccountingWEB Live Expo. Initially, all current Premium Partners have been invited to join, including Sage, IRIS, Xero, FreeAgent, and new Expo exhibitor; Intuit QuickBooks.
Confirmed representatives from these vendors include industry figureheads; Chris Downing (Director of Product Marketing (Accountants & Bookkeepers), Sage), Steve Cox (Head of Market Insights, IRIS), Tony Stevenson (Digital Enablement Manager, FreeAgent) and Chetan Shah (Commercial Leader – UK Accountants, Intuit QuickBooks).

I look forward to helping shape the content for the accounting community to make sure that the talks and topics really help accountants, bookkeepers and finance teams get valuable and useful information on how to meet the challenges and opportunities they face over the next few years.”
Joining these VSG members will be representatives from the wider list of exhibitors, currently being approached by Smith with a remit to ensure the full accounting tech community is represented, no matter what their size, specialism or history.

The Vendor Steering Group will be represented on the Advisory Board by Head of Branded Content, Jake Smith. He will ensure the Group’s insight and recommendations will be fully represented during the creation of the conference programme, complementing those topics and themes recommended by the Advisory Board.
“My job will be to squeeze the very best market intelligence and customer insight out of the Vendor Steering Group, as well as ensuring we have the widest possible spread of members,” said Smith. “I can make sure that the needs of our exhibitors and their audiences are at the top of the content agenda while also respecting the editorial integrity of the programme. It’s a fantastic initiative that will work for both exhibitors and attendees alike!”
As part of the Vendor Steering Group initiative, all Expo 2022 exhibitors will be sent a questionnaire asking them for their thoughts and ideas, what challenges their audiences have shared plus their availability for our popular panel sessions. As in 2021, exhibitors will once again be approached to appear on the Expo’s popular panels, contributing to the discussion alongside the industry’s best strategists and the UK’s leading practitioners.
The full Conference Programme for AccountingWEB Live Expo 2022 is currently being built with the support of key industry curators and partners. It will consist of keynotes, panels, roundtables (new for 2022) and improved networking sessions, all with certified CPD attached. The full Advisory Board (including VSG representative Jake Smith) will be announced in due course, with a remit to provide the best possible content for accountants - relevant topics, industry experts, veterans and newcomers, a diverse range of voices and content that both inspires and educates.
